Description: Third series of experiments: is a system with powerful traditional informal institutions undergoing heavy modernising pressure from the government, combined with weak modernising mindset in the public opinion. The result of this scenario is a strong prospect of traditionalisation (B, C), whereby in the following phase transition the system will slip down to an attractor in the T-area with an abrupt contraction of the survival area (D, E).

Geographical Area: Russia

Keywords: modernization, institutions, modeling, systemic and dynamic modeling, non-linear dynamics, agent-oriented modeling, system, fractal geometry, self-organized criticality

Structured recordings: Dmitry Zhukov; Sergey Lyamin: Nonlinear effects of turbulent institutional modernization, in: Jahrbücher für Geschichte Osteuropas 65 (2017), no. 4, pp. 624-650.
